Installation

Requirements

AlMiQaT is built for Mac.

• macOS 13 or later (recommended)
• An Apple Silicon or Intel Mac
• Permission to show notifications (optional, for warnings)

Download & Install

You can install AlMiQaT from the official website when the public Mac build ships:

• From the official website: Download AlMiQaT
• Direct package: open the downloaded .dmg (or installer) and drag AlMiQaT to your Applications folder

Website Download

1. Open the Download page on this website.
2. Download AlMiQaT when the macOS build is available.
3. Open the downloaded .dmg file and drag AlMiQaT to your Applications folder.
4. Launch AlMiQaT from Launchpad or Spotlight.

First launch

When you open AlMiQaT for the first time:

• Choose your language and theme if prompted.
• Confirm your city / coordinates or prayer timing mode.
• Review prayer lock defaults before enabling long durations.
• Allow notifications if you want 5- and 2-minute heads-up alerts.
