Background Agent

What the agent does

On macOS, AlMiQaT can install a per-user launchd agent named com.almiqat.lock-agent after the app has been placed in Applications or ~/Applications and launched.

• Enforce scheduled device locks after the window is closed
• Enforce selected application blocks
• Issue scheduled alerts and start configured Adhan playback
• Open AlMiQaT at login when Start at login is enabled

Where data lives

Native scheduling data is stored under ~/Library/Application Support/AlMiQaT/. Interface state is stored in the app webview’s local storage under almiqat-state-v1.

Trust and control

You control every schedule from the AlMiQaT UI. If you need to stop protection immediately, disable the relevant locks/blocks in the app, or contact support if an agent install needs cleanup help.
