Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how AlMiQaT (“we”, “us”) handles information for the AlMiQaT app and website. AlMiQaT is designed to be local-first. This Policy is written to support transparent checkout via Paddle.

1. Who we are

Controller: AlMiQaT. Contact: contact@almiqat.co.

2. Information we collect

App (local on your Mac): preferences and schedules such as prayer settings, blocks, and lock calendars. This data is stored on your device unless you choose to share it elsewhere.

Purchases (via Paddle): when you buy a license or subscription, Paddle processes payment details (for example card information), billing name, email, taxes, and transaction metadata needed to complete the purchase, prevent fraud, and manage subscriptions. AlMiQaT does not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

Support communications: if you email us, we receive the content of your message and your email address.

Website: the marketing site may collect basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited through hosting logs or privacy-friendly analytics if enabled. We do not currently sell personal data.

3. How we use information

Provide, maintain, and improve AlMiQaT and the website.

Process payments, deliver licenses/subscriptions, prevent fraud, and handle refunds.

Respond to support requests and legal obligations.

4. Payment processing with Paddle

Paddle is our merchant of record and processes payment and tax data under its own privacy terms. See Paddle’s Privacy Policy for details on how Paddle handles payment data.

For subscriptions, Paddle stores the payment method token needed for recurring billing until you cancel or the method is removed.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

  • Paddle and other vendors strictly needed to process payments, email receipts, or host the website.
  • Professional advisors or authorities when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

6. Retention

Local app data remains on your Mac until you delete it or uninstall the App.

Purchase and billing records are retained as needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Support emails are retained as long as reasonably needed to resolve your request and maintain business records.

7. Your choices and rights

You can delete the App and local data from your Mac at any time.

For purchase, license, or billing questions — including access or deletion requests where applicable — email contact@almiqat.co. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing.

8. International transfers

Paddle and hosting providers may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, appropriate transfer safeguards are expected of those providers.

9. Children’s privacy

AlMiQaT is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us to request deletion.

10. Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to our size and the nature of the data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
